About

Muslims do it…five times a day (pray, that is).

Sex and Romance in Islam is a basic resource  about sexual relations  in accordance with Quran and Sunnah and is also a springboard of discussion for Muslims about romance and marriage.  Keep in mind that the only way to receive Allah’s blessing through sexual relations and romance is through marriage. In the Qu’ran, Allah SWT states:

Ar-Rum (The Romans) 30:21: And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect.

Although seeking naseeha for something as personal as the topic of sexual relations should always be done with haya (modesty, self-respect), the Prophet Muhammad SAWS credited those who had no shame in seeking knowledge about any aspect of Al Islam:

“Blessed are the women of the Ansar (the citizens of Madina). Shyness did not stand in their way seeking knowledge about their religion.” (All except Termizi).

The purpose of  Sex and Romance in Islam is to simply spark discussion between Muslim couples in their households and in cyberspace so they may seek further guidance from whatever Islamic leadership they follow.
